Here's what Ted had to say after visiting Houston's
Central Market class taught by Chef Ellen...

"Chef Ellen was back in the kitchen of Central Market. What a treat!  This bubbly and informative chef and cooking teacher knows how to hold her audience and, more importantly how to feed them."

From the Students...

Chef Ellen,  I was in your class and LOVED IT!!!!!   Came home and talked all night about it, looking through the Leisure Learning catalog to do more classes with you.  I can't wait to put the recipes out to my family.  THANK YOU AGAIN.  Your cooking friend,  -John L

I wanted to commend Ellen Schwartz, chef instructor at Leisure Learning, for what a fine job she does.  It seems you get MORE than you pay for.  We arrived at a newly remodeled kitchen with clean aprons and kitchen towels for students' use.  After the first session she took a vote to see what foods we would like to have in the upcoming sessions.  The class offered a good mixture of student participation and teacher lecture.  She goes much further than your average TV classes, adding processes and techniques used by professional chefs.  Finally, Chef Ellen responded quickly by e-mail to each of us with the recipes we prepared in class.  I highly recommend her classes.   -Ted K.

Ellen,  the class on sauces grabbed my attention when reading the Leisure Learning booklet.  When I tasted the vermouth with the brined chicken, I was elated!  I'm not a wine drinker but did that ever taste good!  And then you went over the top when you used the beer with the beef.  I feel that the time and money spent on this course was MORE than well spent!!!  I'm looking forward to Monday night and thanks for all you've taught me to date.  -Jim B.
